TOP Football Development Centre

North Shore United AFC and Takapuna AFC are excited to announce the creation of a new football development centre for young footballers in the area with a goal to become a New Zealand Football accredited skill centre.

TOP is being launched in term 2 of 2022. It will initially be open to all interested players from
grades 8-13, with the planned addition of grades 14-17 in 2023.  TOP will provide players with high quality training by experienced coaches and an excellent platform for going on to play senior football. Participants will sign with either North Shore or
Takapuna and continue to train and play with their club outside of the TOP programme.

Takapuna chair Glyn Taylor says, “the objective is to give young footballers in the area a clear pathway to senior football.”

North Shore United football development manager Ryan Ward notes, “in my experience there is nothing like additional, high quality training to bring out the potential in young players.”

Training will take place at the existing facilities of both clubs.  Keep an eye out for more details in the near future!
