NSU SKILL PROGRAMME

The NSU Skills Programme is a well-established and exciting training programme for 9–12 year olds who want to grow their football skills in a fun, high-quality environment. This programme is perfect for those looking for an extra session to boost confidence, sharpen technique, and stay active with friends.

Following the NZ Football Junior Skills  Programme  Curriculum, our sessions are designed to look and feel like the game, with plenty of ball contact, decision-making, and engaging challenges. Whether your child plays for fun or has aspirations to progress through the player development pathway, the NSU Skills Centre supports all levels.

Led by qualified NSU coaches in a positive and inclusive setting, we ensure every player is fully engaged, learning, and loving their football.

 Mixed Sessions

• Thursdays | 5:00 – 6:15 PM | Bayswater Park

• Term 2: Starts Thursday 1st May, ends Thursday 26th June

• Term 3: Starts Thursday 17th July, ends Thursday 4th September

Unlock Your Potential with NSU Goalkeeper Training!

For Girls and Boys  

Our specialised Goalkeeper Training Programme is designed to teach, develop, and enhance the core skills every aspiring keeper needs, catching, diving, distribution, 1v1s, shot-stopping, and more. Led by experienced coaches in a supportive and challenging environment, these sessions give goalkeepers the focused training they need to grow in confidence and performance.

 Location: Bayswater Park
 Term 2: Tuesday 29 April – Tuesday 24 June
 Term 3: Tuesday 15 July – Tuesday 2 September
 Ages 9–12: 4:00–5:00 PM
 Ages 13–17: 5:00–6:00 PM
 Fee: $50 per term

NSU Youth Development Programme (YDP) – MIXED For 13th & 16th Grade Players

North Shore United is proud to offer the NSU Youth Development Programme, designed to provide an extra training opportunity for all players in the 13th to 16th Grades. This programme is led by our experienced C-Licence qualified coaches, who are passionate about helping young players develop their individual skills, tactical understanding, and confidence on the ball in a positive, challenging environment.

 Location: Bayswater Park
 Time: Thursdays, 5:15–6:30 PM
 Term 2: 1 May – 26 June
 Term 3: 17 July – 4 September
 Fee: $150 per term

NSU Youth Development Programme (YDP) – GIRLS Only (13th–16th Grade)

North Shore United is excited to offer a Girls Only Youth Development Programme for players in the 13th to 16th Grades. This additional weekly session is designed to empower young female footballers by helping them grow their confidence, technical ability, and game understanding in a supportive, high-quality environment.

Led by our experienced C-Licence qualified coaches, this programme focuses on developing individual skills, tactical awareness, and decision-making through engaging, game-based sessions.

 Location: Bayswater Park
 Time: Tuesdays, 4:00–5:15 PM
 Term 2: 1 May – 26 June
 Term 3: 17 July – 4 September
 Fee: $150 per term

This is the perfect opportunity for girls to train with purpose, build their football identity, and enjoy the journey with NSU.

Development Training for 5–8 Year Olds!

For our young footballers aged 5–8 who are already training and loving the game, this extra weekly session offers a great opportunity to continue their development in a more focused, supportive environment. Led by experienced and qualified coaches, these sessions are designed to build on what they’re already learning, adding a touch more structure and challenge, while keeping the energy and joy alive.

Sessions are kept fun, highly imaginative, and full of football magic, ensuring that players not only develop their skills and game understanding—but also continue to grow their love for the game. From creative challenges to exciting small-sided games, every activity is crafted to help them thrive.
