Game Day is where all players want to express themselves, showcase what they have learnt in trainings and most importantly have FUN!!! Please remember, yes we want our teams to win BUT winning is not at the expense of development. We want our teams to win with style and NOT win at all costs.
The coaches have been educated by the Football Development Manager - Ryan Ward, to ensure games are where players are free to express themselves, have fun and not be in fear of making mistakes. The coaches have been instructed to take a long term development approach for all players under their guidance, which outweighs the importance of getting results in games, especially at Junior and early Youth level. An example of this, coaches may look to set players individual challenges and play players in positions which are out of their comfort zone for parts of the game to further enhance development, in order to create all rounded players.
Here is a great video explaining the importance of all players having the opportunity to develop. Something that North Shore United Coaches strongly believe in:

Please watch the FA RESPECT Campaign Videos below. Both videos are very powerful in the messages they portray.
North Shore United A.F.C would like all players, parents and coaches to please follow the guidelines below to ensure we create the best environment that maximises development and enjoyment for all involved.
