Women's 1st Team Coach

North Shore United, New Zealand’s oldest football club, seeks an exceptional Women’s First Team Coach. This is an exciting opportunity to join a club keen to grow female football, from our junior through to senior grades and coaching team.

The Club has a strong policy of internal player development which we envisage will be reinforced by the recruitment of players with Senior experience. 

THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated coach that is passionate about growing female players and developing a competitive squad with a positive coaching environment. You will be responsible for recruiting, creating and coaching a successful Women's Senior Team, as well as working with the Female Football Development Manager to create a pathway from junior girls through to senior grades. 

You will be supported by the Club Manager and Football Development Manager who will work with you to achieve success.

Any initial contract will be for a one year period although for the right applicant there would be an opportunity to negotiate an extension by mutual agreement.

THE PERSON

You have a comprehensive knowledge of female football in New Zealand and have contacts and links across the football community that would enable you to attract high quality players to the Club.

Ideally, you hold a NZF C License coaching qualification or equivalent.

You understand the importance of a consistent strategy and where your role sits within the Club’s overall objectives.

You are highly self-motivated and work well with a wide range of stakeholders.

You have the ability to inspire others to be the best they can be and are adept at engaging with players, igniting their passion for the game and fostering enjoyable sporting experiences.

You have exceptional communication and networking skills to contact and engage with new

players.

You love to win but understand it is not the only measurement of success.

You are familiar with and understand New Zealand Football philosophies.

You are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident and currently live and work here.

You are looking for a medium to long term position to help make the Club’s vision a reality.
