North Shore United Director of Football and First Team Coach is moving on

The Board has accepted Malcolm McPherson’s resignation from the role of Head Coach of the men's first team and Director of Football at the conclusion of the 2021 season.

Malcolm has been in the role for three seasons and in that time has led the team to success in winning the 2019 Northern Premier League (in the club’s first season back in the topflight); reaching the 2021 Chatham Cup semi-finals; and retaining North Shore United’s Premier League status this season.

These achievements cannot be understated in what has progressively become a more competitive league as the National Summer League was disbanded in 2020 and the quality of the teams in this year’s league has been the strongest in many years.

On behalf of all club members the Board would like to thank Malcolm for his contribution to the club and for being part of many fantastic community events at Allen Hill as hundreds of people have watched some compelling and ultimately successful football matches on a Saturday afternoon.

The Board are now in the process of searching for a replacement for the 2022 season and beyond.

For and on behalf of the Board:

Steve Browning

Club Chair
