A pathway for ambitious young female players

Following the outstanding success of our Player Development Programme (PDP), North Shore United is excited to launch the PDP Girls 13/14 Programme for the 2026 season.

This programme is for girls who love football, want to push themselves, and still want a fun, social environment where they feel supported and confident.

If your daughter is ready to take the next step in her football journey, this is the programme for her.

The PDP is a holistic, professionally structured development pathway designed to help players unlock their full potential – technically, tactically, physically, socially, and emotionally.

Players in this programme will:

It’s the ideal balance of deep football development and a social, enjoyable environment.

What players will experience

Weekly Structure: 2 Sessions + Optional 3rd Session

Each week, players take part in:

  • Two core football training sessions

  • One optional sessionStrength & Conditioning and/or Futsal

We understand many girls also participate in other sports, school commitments, and activities.
Our coaching team works closely with players and families to manage workload, avoid overloading, and ensure players remain healthy, motivated, and balanced.

1. Technical & Tactical Development

  • Ball mastery and skills

  • Position-specific coaching

  • Roles & responsibilities in every moment of the game (attack, defence, transitions)

  • Tactical awareness and game intelligence

2. Football-Specific Fitness

  • Strength & conditioning

  • Speed, agility and movement

  • Football-specific endurance

  • Injury prevention strategies

3. Video Analysis & Game Learning

  • Individual and team learning clips

  • Review of match moments

  • Development of decision-making and awareness

4. Individual Player Support Meetings

Each player receives three dedicated 1-on-1 meetings during the season to review:

  • Progress

  • Goals

  • Challenges

  • Confidence

  • Development pathway

5. Player Development Workshops

Workshops cover key off-field growth areas:

  • Nutrition

  • Injury prevention

  • Laws of the game

  • Leadership & communication

  • Women & girls in sport

6. Professional Physio Support

Players benefit from:

  • On-site physio support at training

  • Free or discounted treatments

  • Injury-prevention coaching

  • Recovery and load-management advice

This ensures players stay healthy, confident, and supported throughout the season.

Coaching team

Delivered by experienced, accredited coaches holding:

  • UEFA A Licence

  • NZF C Licence

  • Youth Level 2

  • GK Level 1

Our coaching team provides a player-centred, inspiring environment where girls feel challenged, encouraged, and proud of their progress.

Competition level – 2026 season

The Girls PDP 13/14 squad will compete in the 15th Grade league, offering the right level of competition to accelerate development.  This league is played on a Saturday from midday.

Trials – February 2026

All players must attend trials to be considered for the programme.

Trial details:

  • Days: Mondays & Wednesdays

  • Number of sessions: 8

  • Cost: $80

  • Time & location: Shared with registered players

This extended format gives every player a fair and enjoyable opportunity to showcase their ability.
