Mixed Junior Summer Football T4 2026 (16 October to 11 December)

Summer Football is back! Whether you are looking to continue after an exciting winter season, or just wanting to get out on the field for the summer, Summer Footy at Shore is the place to be!

Competition Dates: 

Friday Nights running from 16th Oct to 11th Dec (9w)  at Allen Hill  / Dacre Park

Entry Fee:

Grade 5: $50 individual   Register Here Grade 5

Grade 6-8: $275 per team

Grade 9-12: $385 per team

More detailed League information is below.  

League Format

• All games will consist of 2x 20min games with a 5min break in between games. Teams will rotate fields between games
• Referees will be provided to manage games
• Team Sizes
• Grade 5: Similar to First Kicks - players do not need to register as a team and will be made into groups each week for a game
• Grade 6, 7, and 8 are 5 aside (max 8x players per team)
• Grades 9-12 are 7 aside (max 10x players per team)

When/Where:

• Fri Nights running from 16th Oct to 11th Dec (9w)
• Game times:
• Grade 5 and 6: 3:45pm
• Grade 7 and 8: 4:35pm
• Grade 9 and 10: 5:25pm
• Grade 11&12: 6:15pm

• All games will be played at Allen Hill

Game Day Structure:

• Summer Football follows a First Kicks and New Zealand Football philosophy of encouraging kids to get involved and have fun
• Goal Keepers
• Grade 5-8: No goal keepers. Small goals will be used
• Grades 9-12: Goal keepers to play
• Goal keepers can only handle the ball in the semi circle
• Goal keepers cannot kick from their hands
• Goal keepers can leave the semi circle, and outfield players may enter the semi circle
• Scores are not kept for all games - the aim for all players to have fun, and the games be inclusive
• Rolling subs allowed. Subs should occur during stoppages (eg goals, ball out of bounds) to keep the games flowing

General Play

• Retreating line
• After a goal is scored teams must retreat back to their goal
• For a goal kick the opposing team must retreat behind halfway
• Kick-ins instead of throw-ins
• Corners 
• Grade 5-8: No corners
• Grade 9-12: Corners allowed
• No offsides
• No slide tackles allowed

What Grade is my child in?

• Grades are based on the age your child is turning this calendar year (2026)

• Summer Footy is less strict on age than the winter season, so if you would like to be in a team outside of your grade level please let us know and we should be able to accommodate

Team Requirements:

• Kit
• Grade 5: Players will be provided bibs to distinguish teams
• Grade 6 and above: While matching uniforms is always a plus, it is definitely not required. Matching colors for consistency is required and bibs will be provided in the event of similar colors between teams

• Players must wear appropriate footwear such as soft ground boots or turf shoes 
• Shin pads are required

• Team manager - All teams must have a team manager (by default the person registering the team). Responsibilities are minimal and involve managing subs on game day and ensuring a positive environment for all players, referees, and supporters.
